My Top 3 Sandwich Spots in the Jacksonville Beaches That I Go to Constantly
These aren’t just places I’ve tried once and liked. These are my go-to sandwich spots in the Jacksonville Beaches area. If I’m hungry and don’t want to overthink it, one of these three is usually where I end up.
Each one has a different vibe depending on what kind of sandwich mood I’m in.
Angie’s Subs
My reliable, can’t-miss sandwich spot
If I want a sandwich I know is going to be good every single time, I’m going to Angie’s Subs. No question.
The sandwiches are solid, consistent, and exactly what you want when you’re just hungry and don’t want to gamble. On top of that, their brownies are unreal. I don’t always plan on getting one, but I almost always do.
They also have a location in Neptune Beach where the old T-Dubs used to be, which makes it even easier to swing by. Whether it’s a quick lunch or something to grab on the way to the beach, Angie’s is dependable in the best way possible.
This is the spot I recommend when someone says, “Where should I go for a good sandwich?” and doesn’t want a complicated answer.
Surfwiches
When I want something hot, big, and filling
If I’m craving something heavier, hotter, and just straight up filling, Surfwiches is usually the move.
This is where I’ll go if I want something like a cheesesteak or a sandwich that feels like an actual meal. The portions are solid, the sandwiches are hot, and it’s perfect when you want something that’s going to hold you over for a while.
Surfwiches feels very on brand for the beach area. Casual, no nonsense, and exactly what you’re looking for when you want a big sandwich and don’t feel like pretending you’re eating light.
La Petit
When I’m feeling special
La Petit is where we go when we want to make a sandwich feel like a little experience.
The sandwiches are served on baguettes, and everything feels more elevated without being stuffy. The flavors are great, the quality is obvious, and it’s just a different pace than the other spots.
We almost always end up getting iced coffees and a cheese danish when we’re here, even if we didn’t plan on it. For some reason, this has become our beach day sandwich spot. Grab sandwiches, coffee, something sweet, and head out.
It’s the place we go when we’re not in a rush and want to enjoy it.
Final Thoughts
If you live in or around the Jacksonville Beaches and rotate between these three spots, you’re covered.
• Angie’s Subs when you want reliable and classic
• Surfwiches when you want something hot and filling
• La Petit when you want something a little special
Different moods, different days, same solid sandwich rotation.
